| dc.description | The main objective of the study is to compare bilingualism and monolingualism with respect to the quality of life between 18 and 30 years of age at a university in the city of Cali during the year 2023. The research focuses on analyzing the differences in the quality of life of these two linguistic groups, seeking to understand how bilingualism can influence various aspects of students' well-being. Material and Methods: The study was carried out using a quantitative approach with a crosssectional, correlational design. The population under study was university students, and a representative sample of 28 students from the Santiago de Cali University was selected. To collect data on quality of life, the SF-36 health questionnaire was used, a validated tool to assess various aspects of physical and mental well-being.
