Item Reforma constitucional y legal en Colombia, la cual honre el estado social de derecho como el garantismo jurídico en la pérdida de derechos políticos, respecto a los servidores públicos de elección popular: un estudio realizado en los grandes municipios del departamento del valle del cauca, vigencias 2004 – 2019(2026) Arias Grisales, Juan David; Rodríguez Gutiérrez, Andrés (Director)The Social State governed by the Rule of Law in Colombia seeks to guarantee the protection of human rights by establishing the State’s obligation to create conditions that enable the effective exercise of such rights. However, between 2004 and 2019, a growing loss of political rights has been observed in the major municipalities of Valle del Cauca. In light of this situation, serious questions arise regarding equity and justice in the exercise of political power. This phenomenon is linked to judicial decisions that sanction citizens for serious crimes such as drug trafficking, bribery, among others, and it affects not only individuals but also the democratic and social structure of communities.
