The text offers relevant information for the study, analysis and critical debate around the main considerations contained in the ordinary and abbreviated declarative processes immersed in the previous code of civil procedure in Colombia, as opposed to those known according to the introduction made by the legislator of 2012 as declarative processes themselves within which we distinguish on the one hand the verbal process that replaces the ordinary and on the other hand, the verbal summary process that in the same sense assumes the procedural provisions with precise modifications of the previous code. The study distinguishes between studies of the particularities of these groups of processes in their respective norms that support them, contrasting the two procedural schemes with respect to the processes examined.
