Conciliation in criminal law is a sui generis mechanism, considering that it deals with rights to freedom and in turn to the rights to life of a person, while an alternative for the restoration of rights is the conciliation in criminal law, however, currently the criminal system is not fulfilling a resocialization with persons deprived of liberty and in turn who has been victimized, This essay intends to delve into the importance of conciliation as a mechanism for the restoration of damages, now well, within the development of this paper will address which issues are conciliatory and which are not conciliatory within the criminal process, on the other hand, the benefits within the conciliation in criminal law will be analyzed, which would imply a paradigm shift in the Colombian judicial system.
