Item Análisis de amenazas y estrategias de seguridad en redes sociales un panorama de ciberataques y violaciones de privacidad(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Rosero Giraldo, Catalina; Gil López, Johan Sebastián; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)In the digital age, social media has transformed human interactions, consolidating itself as essential spaces for connection, exchange of experiences and information. These platforms have acquired a central role in everyday life, also standing out as main sources of entertainment and key tools for business strategies, especially in advertising and customer acquisition. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the main cyber threats targeting social media users. A systematic review of the literature was carried out following the PRISMA protocol to ensure methodological rigor in the selection of information. The search was carried out in recognized databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus and ScienceDirect, covering studies published between 2018 and 2024. A total of 14 relevant articles were identified and analyzed after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis was complemented with tools such as Mendeley for bibliographic organization and descriptive techniques for data synthesis. The study confirmed an increase in threats such as phishing, ransomware, malware, identity theft, and social engineering attacks. Significant cases of privacy violations were documented, including the Cambridge Analytica scandal and vulnerabilities of platforms such as Facebook and TikTok. It concluded that social networks face a high level of risk due to their popularity and accessibility, mitigating these threats requires a joint effort between users, companies and regulators, highlighting the need to educate users and implement security standards.Item Aplicación de algoritmos de clasificación como soporte al diagnóstico del cáncer de mama en unidades oncológicas(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) García Restrepo, Diego Fernando; Rondón Otero, Leidy Viviana; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)Breast cancer is one of the diseases that cause a lot of deaths every year, it is the most common type of all cancers and one of the leading causes of death of women in the world and Colombia. In this article, we present the use of WEKA as a machine learning and data mining tool, applying different classifiers to a set of breast cancer data provided by the cancer unit with the objective of supporting the diagnosis and supporting the taking of decisions in the diagnosis of breast cancer. The results obtained show how researchers in the area of health can use both statistical analysis and data mining techniques to discover knowledge and make a better diagnosis of breast cancer and other diseases. In the document a comparison of the effectiveness of the classifiers and an analysis of correct classification, incorrect classification and precision are made, aspects that are of importance for researchers who want to use algorithms in other types of studies or with other attributes to diagnose if the values of these lead or not to conclude that a person has breast cancer.Item Desarrollo de un sistema de información para teléfonos inteligentes que permita mejorar el seguimiento de los procedimientos quirúrgicos(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Hernández Zamora, Carlos Augusto; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)This paper presents the development of an information system for smartphones to track surgical procedures in hospitals, allowing to visualize the status of each stage, from preparation to patient recovery. The solution implements BLoC architecture and NoSQL databases for efficient data management. The methodology used was Agile Unified Process (AUP), structured in four phases: initiation, elaboration, construction and transition, allowing the identification of requirements, architecture design, system implementation and business simulation with the Enterprise Architect tool. The developed application improves the coordination and communication of the medical team, allowing greater control over surgeries and reducing interruptions caused by delays or lack of information. The objective is to develop a platform for the management of investigative documents from the Santiago de Cali University. To fulfill it, the methodology: “A Methodology for building the IoT” was implemented. Subsequently, the appropriate activities were carried out to fulfill the six steps of the methodology (Cocreate, IDEATE, Q&A, IOT OSI, Prototype and Deployment). Among the findings, the variety of common and characteristic metadata of each type of research product was identified. Consequently, a database design was defined in which the storage of the metadata of a product was covered by two tables linked by a common identifier.Item Digitalización de instrumentos aeronáuticos para el simulador de vuelo X – Plane 11 y Air Manager(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Luna Espinosa, Jeffrey; Villada Luna, David; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)The use of flight simulators is of great importance in an aviation course, they are a way to effectively and efficiently face, among others, aspects such as security, economy and coverage. But sometimes students are required to practice in an aircraft that is not on the simulator's predetermined list, it is then: 1) Acquire the manufacturer the aircraft that is needed, if it is already designed or failing to assume the costs of a development 2) use the most similar aircraft (moving the student away from an experience with the real airplane) or 3) select the aircraft that requires the least changes and adapt it to the pedagogical needs. This last possibility was the one that the Colombian Air Force and the Santiago de Cali University chose when it was needed that the Cadets of the Military Aviation School "Marco Fidel Suárez" were trained in a plane that is not one of the default options in the flight simulator program they use.Item Diseño de un prototipo para el Control de Acceso y Seguridad usando IoT(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Gallego Angulo, Larry Jhoan; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)This article presents the prototype design of a system for access control and security using IoT (Internet of Things), taking into account the case study of the Santiago de Cali University laboratory of block 4 floor 3. This design is It consists of a web portal hosted on a web server for administration, two readers, the central and an input module and a web server. The objective was to design a system that allows us to control the entrance and exit of the laboratories through the UUID (universal unique identifier) of the Tag or RFID Card (radio frequency identification), this is consulted from the reader or by the EEPROM memory or in MySQL database. EEPROM memory guarantees the operation of the system, if the reader is not connected to the network to authenticate in the database hosted on the server, the input readers are made with an Arduino card and the central reader with a board Nodemcu; The central reader has nodemcu board and RFID reader, the door reader has an Arduino card, RFID reader, RGB LED, Reset button. The communication of this system is via Wi-Fi, achieving productivity in the execution of the processes. This article will show the operation of the modules connected to the server via Wi-Fi and the input module in the EEPROM, to design the web portal it was necessary to create an Apache server on a Raspberry PI board and, the web portal was programmed with PHP and HTML5, CSS in a Bootstrap 4 Framework to have a Dashboard.Item Diseño y desarrollo de la app salsacali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Buelvas Cáceres, Liseth Biviana; Segura Angulo, Yennyfer Alexandra; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)Cali is internationally recognized as the world capital of salsa, however, despite this recognition, this musical genre has lost strength in the city. There are currently many people who are unaware of the cultural, social and economic value that salsa represents for Cali as well as all the development and evolution that this musical genre has had in the city. The emergence of new musical rhythms such as merengue, bachata and reggaeton, salsa in Cali has been overshadowed: through contact with youth it results in many young people not considering or not seeing in the sauce more than just one more genre, or even not important to attend such events. In order to carry out this research, the problem was studied based on the analysis of real and direct data (collecting user opinions) and some believe that this fact has degenerated the salsa identity and this has happened in the background. In order to contribute a little to the fact that the Salsa culture is still valid, “Salsa Cali” is an application oriented to mobile devices, the development of this one was raised to achieve greater dissemination of salsa events in Cali, and contribute a little to that the salsa culture remains in force in a striking way such as a mobile app. It was initially developed for Android mobile devices, a viable medium where development of this type of applications is generally started. Considering the portability, availability and use of mobile Apps, it allows organizers to socialize activities first hand, gives the user the opportunity to consult information about events and places related to salsa events, learn about the history of salsa and songs emblematic Users within the application have access, among other functions, to the creation of a user, information on scheduled events (place, price, public and time), you can also know in advance the details of the site where the event will take place, the people capacity and reservation.Item Evolución de las vulnerabilidades en la plataforma GNU/Linux(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Tróchez Escobar, Daniel; Hortua Galvis, Iván Ramiro; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)GNU/LINUX is free software that has the advantage that users can constantly make improvements, while for the owner it is necessary to wait for a new version or update from the developer. But just because it is open source and less vulnerable compared to MAC or Windows, it does not mean that it is free from attacks. Taking the above into account, the objective was to identify the types of vulnerabilities to which the GNU/Linux platform is exposed after the declaration of the pandemic. To do this, the types of vulnerabilities are first presented, for which a systemic review of the literature is carried out that allows a theoretical-conceptual framework to be addressed, then statistical data on the vulnerabilities to which Linux is exposed is presented, for this a analysis of the data presented by CVE Details from 2020 to November 2023, as it is the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis and vulnerabilities identified in the GNU/Linux platform are presented according to the literature consulted. This work concludes that there are no changes between the types of vulnerabilities from 2016-2019 with those reported from 2020 (the year in which the COVID-19 pandemic was declared) until November 2023. Of the 16 vulnerabilities that it recognizes CVE in statistical reporting, four effects to Linux: overflow, memory corruption, directory traversal and input validation. In the two periods analyzed, memory corruption is the one that occurs in the highest percentage; therefore, it is important to carry out studies that allow identifying the state of the art of this vulnerability in GNU/Linux.Item Implementación de un Sistema Manejador de Almacenes para la administración de despachos de la compañía diseñadora Johanna Ortiz(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Gómez Pacue, Cristian Estiven; Narváez Lopera, Sebastián; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)This research seeks to bring control of the supply chain of the company Johanna Ortiz to a level that allows evaluating each process in the management of the supply chain through an Inventory Management Software (WMS - Warehouse Management System). Looking for a way to attack the problem that arises, the importance of implementing one of the modules of the mentioned system that allows managing each logistics process of the finished product dispatch was analyzed. The methodology that was used for the development of the work is the PSP (Personal Software Process) to couple its stages to the software cycle in the execution of this project, this will allow evaluating and improving the efficiency of the development processes of this management system. of offices. This application will be implemented in a web environment due to the number of users involved and the number of computers involved. Once the implementation was completed, it was possible to conclude improvements in the execution time of the warehouse activities, these times were greatly reduced, in parallel the access to information improved, it became much more organized and with a low degree of vulnerability. Thanks to the reports generated by the tool, it was possible to reduce administrative work times and improve data analytics, presenting the stored information in a structured way for decision making.Item PEIPI (Plataforma para la extracción de Informes de profesores e Investigadores)(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Bejarano Betancourt, Juan Sebastian; Tavera Romero, Carlos Andrés (Director)This paper presents a system designed to extract information from teachers and researchers of a high-quality accredited institution in Colombia, focusing on the CvLAC and GrupLAC platforms. Using advanced web scraping techniques and the Django framework, the system optimizes data collection from the Faculty of Engineering, with easy adaptation to other faculties and academic programs. The selected methodology was PSP (Personal Software Process), ensuring user-centered development and innovative solutions focused on solving the problem with automation. Django stands out as the best option thanks to its robust libraries and its compatibility with the Python language, facilitating an agile and efficient development. Which is constituted as a company that designs, manufactures and installs metallic structures in different sectors (residential, commercial and industrial). The proposal is presented in order to reduce times and errors in the delivery to the customer, using CDIO tools, the ones used were: Conceive, design, implement and operation, which are adapted for all types of companies regardless of size. In this case, it is the distribution of the metal structure (finished product) which is located in the storage yard, of the company, using the conceive tool it is possible to identify the current state of the dispatch process, the non-conformity of the client is established by the Arrival out of time of the structure, with the design, the loading procedure is defined, the marking of elements in visible areas with "Sticker" and the setup area "Picking", this allows improvements in the visualization of the metallic element due to its geometry and weight.
