E-TOM un modelo de referencia mapeado en un software para empresas de telecomunicaciones y Utilities
(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Román Villa, Juan Manuel; Segovia de Maya, Patricia del Rosario (Directora)
The purpose of this article is to perform an analysis about how the E-Tom reference model was applied to the processes of a telecommunications company. For this analysis, a company of the city Cali-Colombia will be taken as a case study, a company that owns an application that manages the business cycle of the Telecommunications (Telco) and Public Services (Utilities) companies, taking the E-TOM model as a reference to frame all business processes and map them to the application. Each Telecommunications and Public Services company operates according to different operating processes, they may be similar, but they will never be exactly the same. So each solution with the application is unique for each client in its final implementation, however, the principles used for each solution can be applied to different companies in various operating environments. Telecommunications companies or public services must understand how their business works and seize their processes, for this, they must be clear about how they are structured, in order to have a clear and general vision of all the company's processes. The application developed allows the telecommunications company in which it is implemented to perform these processes with greater precision, effectiveness, efficiency and quality. This paper presents some success stories of companies that have acquired and implemented the software developed with E-TOM.
