The life course allows us to recognize that human development and health outcomes depend on the interaction of different factors, cumulative experiences, and eachindividual's current situations, which are influenced by the family, social, economic, environmental, and cultural context. Sensitive periods are important during the life cycle, as exposure to a specific event can have a differentiating effect depending on the stage of a person's life. There arestages in which exposure to an event is magnified, causing major changes in the life trajectories of those who experience it. 1-2One of the transcendental stages is infancy, a period between 6 and 11 years and 29 days. 3 During this period, many of the traits formed in early childhood are consolidated. It is a stage of development of cognitive (memory, perception, reasoning), affective, and social functions, and the body and mind are prepared to experience another period ofchanges in adolescence. In this stage, the individual's identity as a social and individual being is consolidated, and the capacity for analysis and critical thinking develops in asituation that generates tension for the individual and for others. This stage materializes physical, psychological, emotional, intellectual, social (2), and behavioral changes;the student develops patterns of behavior and eating habits that can persist throughout life and significantly influence later health and well-being.
