This company was in the process of implementing a Quality Management System under the standard, however, they did not have correct documented information on their processes, activities and other fundamental elements. For this reason, the project focused on the establishment of a methodology to achieve the strengthening of the planning of the QMS through the documentation of the processes of the line, complying with the requirements given in said standard. The reason for the development of a QMS based on this standard is in accordance with the internal and external benefits that its implementation brings in organizations. At the end of this study, it was possible to obtain documents of great importance for the organization and the strengthening of the QMS thanks to better planning, especially with the achievement of the SWOT analysis that allows the organization to recognize its strategic planning and the risk matrices that provides them with risk management with prevention, which in the end creates a continuous improvement of their processes.Item Identificación de brechas de formación en el Programa de Ingeniería Industrial para la región del Valle del Cauca(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Isairias Bohórquez, Yina Zulay; Díaz Delgado, Víctor Manuel; Pineda Zapata, Uriel (Director)The objective of this research is to identify the gaps that exist within the industrial engineering programs in Valle del Cauca, due to the fact that universities must not only train quality professionals, but also ensure that the skills delivered allow them to adapt appropriately to an increasingly demanding world of work that requires professionals with great technical mastery, but also the ability to create new knowledge and take advantage of new technologies and technological and administrative innovations to improve their work performance. To meet the proposed objectives, an exploratory research was carried out in 2019, applied for six universities in the region to those responsible for the industrial engineering program of the selected universities and 25 companies in the productive sector through various mechanisms and tools such as interviews and surveys. Three types of gaps were identified in industrial engineering programs: quality, relevance, and competence gaps. So, it is possible to establish some important competencies such as: process optimization, data analysis, mastery of stateof-the-art technologies, the implementation of TIC in the process and customer service, and son on. The process planning proposal is based on the incremental improvement strategy, a methodology that involves relatively low costs, as well as having little demand on information technology (IT) tools, and requiring a short implementation time. Process Management principles and techniques and the systems approach proposed by ISO 9001:2015 are combined. This project highlights the priority of those activities which the greatest interaction with the customer is presented, in other words, main activities which the company's own processes can be taken into account and identified in such a way that they are present a benefit to the customer in which their needs can be met. As a result, waste is prevented like the loss of time, dead time, disposal of surplus of human resources and the realization of repetitive processes which cause inconveniences in this company.
