Item Inteligencia Emocional Y Liderazgo(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Ruiz Cortes, María Camila; Gamboa Ordoñez, Harlyn Stiven; Peralta Miranda, Juan Sebastian; Cruź Aguilar, Pedro Leon (Director)The objective of this work is to carry out a bibliographic review on how emotional intelligence influences the leadership style practiced by the managers of an organization. The databases of Scopus, Google academic and science direct were reviewed, using for the search the words Emotional Intelligence and leadership or both at the same time, applying as inclusion criteria, that most of the articles were located in a period of time no longer than five years and had in their text, definitions of emotional intelligence and leadership, leaving 30 articles at the end. It was possible to establish that there is a direct relationship between leaders who achieve favorable results in the internal work performance of the company and emotional intelligence. In the business world, companies make a significant contribution to the national economy, but they need to establish mechanisms and strategies to be able to compete with larger companies in the global market, to the extent that it is intended to enhance the strengths and objectives that this entails. Therefore, emotional intelligence is distinguished in relation to leadership, as the basis on which the labor commitment is structured to boost production, services, attention, recognition and quality of life of all in a more humane economic framework, considering mainly the importance of communication both of the leaders, when making decisions that significantly affect workers and of the latter, in relation to emotional regulation.
