Item Efectividad Del Entrenamiento Interválico De Alta Intensidad Vs Entrenamiento Continúo Moderada Intensidad En Los Niveles De Hipertensión Arterial En Adultos Mayores, Revisión De La Literatura.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Rodríguez Mercado,Daniela; Nieto ,Diana Valentina; Guzmán Agudelo,StefanyaIntroduction: Hypertension is a major global public health problem due to its high prevalence and the concomitant risk of cardiovascular and kidney disease. It is frequently associated with diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and obesity, leading to negative results. Physical exercise represents an effective means for the prevention and treatment of high blood pressure. High intensity interval training (HIIT) has been shown to cause greater increases in cardiorespiratory capacity, improvements in heart rate, cardiac endothelium function, compared to moderate intensity continuous training (MICT), improving cardiovascular health in people with cardiovascular disease, although current information is inconclusive. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of high intensity interval training Vs moderate intensity continuous training in the levels of arterial hypertension in older adults.
