Item Condición física y somatotipo de los boxeadores de la categoría juvenil en un instituto municipal del deporte y la recreación en la ciudad de palmira del año 2019(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Bonilla Marmolejo, Daniel Andrés; Mendoza Vangrieken,Jhon Carlos; Olmos Botero,Jhovanna Edelmira( Asesora)Physical fitness is the ability of a person to perform physical activity or exercise, resulting from the coordinated interaction of systems such as the musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, hematocirculatory, endocrine-metabolic, and psychoneurological systems. A high level implies the proper functioning of all these systems. Physical qualities such as strength, flexibility, endurance, and agility are essential to improve athletic performance through training. Somatotype classifies body shape into three components: endomorphy (rounded forms), mesomorphy (developed musculature), and ectomorphy (slender structure). This classification, represented on the somatocarta, allows the analysis of body composition and work on the strengths and weaknesses of each type to optimize the athlete’s performance, as in the case of boxers.
