Conclusions: Art therapy opens a world of possibilities for personal expression, creativity and exploration of identities; implementing it as an educational strategy to promote mental health in schoolchildren has shown positive results in self-recognition, stimulation of thinking and learning. It highlights the collaborative and interdisciplinary work (nursing and art professional) where assertive communication is facilitated, encourages empathy, promotes collaboration among group members, contributes to the creation of safe environments where schoolchildren develop greater confidence by exploring their thoughts and emotions through art therapy.
