While effectively the rotary disk sorption extraction method complies with the parameters of green chemistry and allows a more efficient work.Item Evaluación de la eficiencia de extracción de antocianinas a partir de Milpesillos (Oenocarpus mapora H. Karst.) utilizando solventes eutécticos naturales(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Soto Alvarez, Angie Karime; Torres Castañeda, Harlen Gerardo (Director); López Parra, Lizbeth Lorena (Directora)For the extraction of anthocyanins from Oenocarpus mapora, natural deep eutectic solvents (NaDES) were studied as an ecological alternative to conventionally used extraction solvents. Different NaDES solvents based on choline chloride were prepared. The extraction technique assisted by micromaceration (EAMM) was used to extract the different metabolites. The results obtained were compared with 70% EtOH with 0.5% acetic acid. Monomeric anthocyanins (CAM), total phenolic compounds (CTF) and antioxidant activity were determined. CCAL was chosen as the solvent to work with. The optimal conditions for the process were found; 90 mg/mL, 20 minutes, and 60% water.Item Evaluación Química del agua en una reserva natural para uso en la fabricación de compostaje(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Aponzá Múnera, Leydi Johana; Quintero Carabalí, Luis Alberto; López Parra, Lizbeth Lorena (Directora)The chemical evaluation was carried out in sampled waters in the Calima Reservoir reserve, located in the municipality of Darién, Valle del Cauca, determining chemical parameters (BOD, COD, Nitrates, Nitrites, Sulfates and Metals: Cd, Zn and Fe) in water, to be used in irrigation processes in composting. For this, samples were taken at nine points, at entrance 5 of Lake Calima, distributed between the shore, center and bottom areas of the reservoir. The samples were evaluated in triplicate, and the results were statistically treated, obtaining the following concentrations: Chemical Demand for Oxygen (20.2 mgO2/L), Biological Demand for Oxygen (3.8 mgO2/L), Nitrates (0.05133 mgN-NO3-/), Nitrites (0, 00500.0050 mgN-NO2-/L), Sulfates (3.7222 mg SO42-/L) and Metals (Cd =Item Extracción de alcaloides presentes en las semillas de Lupinus mutabilis y su actividad antibacteriana(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Martínez Correa, Kelly Alejandra; Acosta Quiñonez, Roberth Yair; Pantoja Pulido, Kriss Dayana (Directora); López Parra, Lizbeth Lorena (Directora)Lupinus mutabilis is a plant with high nutritional properties and high agronomic potential derived from the protein content of its seeds and growing conditions in the soil. This plant biosynthesizes different secondary metabolites with antioxidant and antibacterial properties, making it potential for the development of antibacterial products. Due to the above, this research aims to extract alkaloids present in Lupinus mutabilis seeds grown in Valle del Cauca, to evaluate their antibacterial activity and compare them with seeds of the same type grown in Ecuador. For this, the Liquid-liquid acid extraction of the seeds was carried out and the presence of flavonoids, steroids, saponins and alkaloids was determined by phytochemical screening. As the main result, lupanin was evidenced as the most abundant alkaloid, followed by sparteine and 3β-hydroxylupanine. In addition, it was found that the crude alkaloid extract of seeds grown in Valle del Cauca, presents more alkaloid content 95.8% compared to 50.0% of seeds grown in Ecuador.Item Fabricación electroquímica de un sensor de Bismuto para la determinación de Aluminio(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Ayala Cruz, María Camila; López Parra, Lizbeth Lorena (Directora); Pettry Valencia, Drochss (Director)For the determination of aluminum in solution, chemically modified bismuth (BiE) carbon electrodes were prepared. The modification of the carbon surface was performed through bismuth electrodeposition and through the use of double pulse potential chronoamperometry. The effect of experimental parameters such as: applied potential, bismuth concentration and deposition time was examined in order to find the best experimental conditions and reproducibility of the bismuth film. These parameters were evaluated by a cyclic voltammetry of BiE in a blank solution of acetic acid / sodium acetate buffer, pH 4,50. The determination and quantification of Al+3 was carried out through the formation of a complex in-solution with cupferron; this complex is adsorbed / desorbed on the BiE surface, hence when a potential sweep is performed, it presents a current peak of – 0,60 V vs Ag/AgCl. Experimental variables such as: the effect of the concentration and the pH of the cupferron solution for the determination of the aluminum were also studied and optimized. It was then established that the detection limit for the determination of aluminum was: 0,025 ppb. Furthermore, BiE was characterized using infrared (IR) spectroscopy and UV-VIS spectroscopy.Item Formulación y análisis de estabilidad y actividad antimicrobiana de un desodorante natural(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Quinayás Tello, Daniel; López Parra, Lizbeth Lorena (Directora)Five formulations of a natural cream-type deodorant, emulsified by solid particles, were made using materials with antibacterial properties such as citronella essential oil and pine oil, in addition to using ingredients that are not related to health problems or biodegradation. to obtain an environmentally sustainable product. Bacterial growth tests were performed on these extracts by the disk diffusion method, following the population behavior of the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. It was found that the best formulation was the combination of ZnO with citronella oil, while all the formulations were stable after four months, and using a preservative free of parabens, they preserved well, except for the blank.Item Identificación de compuestos volátiles por medio de cromatografía de gases acoplada a masas aplicado en la producción de cerveza(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Osorio Rengifo, Juan Fernando; López Parra, Lizbeth Lorena (Directora)Volatile compounds were identified in three different beers prepared by using the home brewing technique, which in turn include the formulation of different types of hops. Consequently, analytical techniques were applied to more effectively determine their sensory profile.
