Item Limitación en la realización de las actividades de la vida diaria en pacientes con antecedentes de covid-19. Revision de alcance.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023-05-31) Cabrera Palechor,Juan Sebastián; MoránArias,Nicole Brigitte; Granada,Esteban DavidCOVID-19 is caused by the coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2. WHO first learned of the existence of this new virus on 31 December 2019, by group of cases of «viral pneumonia» that had been reported in Wuhan (People’s Republic of China). A bibliographic review was made following some criteria of the PRISMA methodology between August 1, 2021, and July 31, 2022 of indexed articles in journals catalogued in quartiles Q1 to Q4 in scimago and according to the study objective on limitations in the performance of daily life activities in patients with sequelae of VOCID infection-19, in databases such as Scopus, science direct, scielo, Elsevier, pubmed. Based on the scientific literature published between 2020 and 2022, in English and Portuguese, Results: This study allowed to recognize the sequelae in the cardiopulmonary system as dyspnea and fatigue, in the cardiovascular system as myocardial edema and decrease in ejection fraction, in the musculoskeletal system as arthralgias and myalgias, limited mobility, as far as the renal system is concerned renal insufficiencies are evidenced; these and other systems are affected causing the limitations that affect the quality of life of the patient, which persist at least 6 months after infection in patients discharged from ICU. In the treatment of patients post-Covid-19 aims to improve the physical condition of the patient, correct the motor effects of prolonged immobilization and restore functional status before the onset of the disease. We conclude with the importance of recognizing which body systems are affected after Covid-19 infection allows us to show that the virus reaches in the systems such as cardiopulmonary, osteomuscular, renal, producing generating difficulty in the realization of the AVD as moving, self-care (bathing, dressing), travel to the bathroom, go to the food site simply by own need leading to dependence on a caregiver.
