Item Estudio de factibilidad para una planta de bioetanol autosostenible a partir de los residuos del café y las cascaras de plátano(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Gutiérrez Ardila, Yeison Andrés; Chiquillo Satizabal, Francisco Javier; Ramírez Salcedo, Fabian Ignacio; Vargas García, Lina MarcelaCoal, oil and natural gas are fossil fuels, which, because of their high level of carbon dioxide emissions, are also largely responsible for global warming today. Possible repercussions that could occur include overheating include the disappearance of animal species, melting of glaciers, spread of disease and higher temperatures, etc. Global effects will include substantial changes in the availability of water for drinking and irrigation, as well as rising sea levels, changes in water circulation patterns in the oceans, and the threat to the survival of species of flora and fauna that survive in these ecosystems, among others (Elmundo, 2007). This could generate problems among nations due to the misuse and practice of these fuels that have been generated since the twentieth century; In their relevance to diminish these effects, countries considered that there is a global need to find new alternatives to produce such fuels in a sustainable way and that with it can counteract the environmental impacts generated by these gases. Most of the industrialised countries committed themselves on 11 December 1997 to jointly undertake their first effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 5% which was agreed in the Kyoto Protocol. In this sense the socio-political problems and conflicts between nations that have arisen since its use and its constant increase in price, for example, the war between Iran and Iraq, this war lasted 8 years and generated enormous costs for both countries that not only caused an increase in the prices of production but also increased the international price of crude and the possibility of not extracting and transporting the crude oil which produced a considerable decrease in its consumption. This led to the creation of new energy sources such as bioethanol, a fuel alcohol with a very low impact on the environment and which could have very low production costs, in order to bring this to a solution of problems between countries and the rise in the prices of these fuels. Within the results of this work, it has that this new alternative has economic, environmental advantages and the paradigm that a food crisis could occur because the use of food is destined for the production of ethanol is already in the past. And that in Colombia through Laws 697 of 2001 and 693 of 2001 which dictates By which norms on the use of fuel alcohols are dictated, stimuli are created for their production, commercialization and consumption, and other provisions are dictated. These laws regulated the use and encourage the innovation of new renewable energies that can be of great help to clarify the environmental, economic, social and other panorama in the country. Likewise, the required use of water by companies, cause these by the need to provide diversion into liquid tributaries which causes problems of social conflict, where are the small and medium-sized farmers who depend on this liquid to meet the needs of their crops and the population who use these tributaries for their daily use. At the end of this paper it was concluded that the sector of the production of biofuels in Colombia aims to produce fuels that improve the quality of life of people, through the reduction of air pollutants, because keeping the environment free from pollution improves the quality of the air that is breathed daily and that is vital to ensuring human life, as well as the conservation and preservation of the environment. On the other hand, within the strategic guidelines of the company, it is highlighted that it would be a company dedicated to the processing and marketing of bioethanol from coffee residues and banana husks. Company that is created as alternative fuel to the traditional ones, in the search of the decrease of the environmental impact and as a response to the need of the customer.
