It was carried out through four phases, the first of which corresponds to showing an overview of the Snacks market in Santiago de Cali; then the preferences and eating habits of the children under study are described; The third phase corresponded to determine the influence of the products (mecato) that are on the current market, in the health of children. Finally, in the fourth phase, the characteristics that the products must have (mecato) were established, to enter the market for children between 5 and 12 years of age. The research concluded that it is necessary to establish healthy eating practices, through which a greater preference by children for these healthy foods can be achieved, in order to promote healthy eating habits.
