    El COVID-19 es una enfermedad de carácter infecciosa que desde su aparición a finales del año 2019 en Wuhan ha mostrado una alta capacidad de contagio lo que se ve reflejado en el crecimiento exponencial del número de casos a lo largo del mundo. Si bien en algunos sujetos las manifestaciones clínicas asociadas a la enfermedad son leves, existe una proporción no despreciable de pacientes que desarrollan complicaciones que exigen su remisión a áreas tecnificadas y con las condiciones necesarias para garantizar un seguimiento continuo por parte del grupo multidisciplinario de salud

    Prevalencia de las infecciones respiratorias agudas (IRA) en niños menores de 5 años en el hospital E.S.E norte 3 del municipio de Puerto Tejada – Cauca durante los años 2017 – 2019

    The Acute Respiratory Infection are the most impactful diseases on the children's population under the age of 5, establishing themselves within the first impacts on the mortality of this population. The IRA are more influential in urban areas because of the influence of industries on environmental pollution. For this reason, research on chronic respiratory diseases guides prevention, control and treatment strategies patients, where social, environmental and physical factors are taken into account people with these breathing problems. This research project aims to determine the prevalence of Acute Respiratory Infections in the municipality Puerto Tejada–Cauca in 2017 - 2019, an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study will be developed for this purpose. The required information will be extracted from the databases and medical records of a health institution in the period from 2017 to 2019. As a more relevant conclusion it was found that, taking into account the record of cases who entered Hospital Cincuentenario E.S.E Norte 3 during the period 2017 to 2019 568 were estimated to be 15% in the prevalence of IRAs.

    Técnicas de Colocación del surfactante en pacientes recién nacidos prematuros. Revisión Sistemática

    Surfactant is a surfactant substance composed of lipoproteins that are present in the lungs. The main function of this fluid is to decrease the surface tension at the air-liquid interface of the alveolus, preventing the lungs from collapsing during respiration. To prevent complications in the premature newborn with respiratory distress syndrome, this substance is administered by a minimally invasive technique. Therefore, the objective of this work is to identify the technique used in the administration of surfactant in newborns of what age in what period. The methodology constitutes a monograph review of the literature of the last five years.
