The OCRA method evaluates the risk for repetitive work of the upper extremities, independently for each joint, associating the level of risk and the probability of the appearance of skeletal muscle disorders, hence its importance, based on the analysis of the main risk factors which must be considered in repetitive work and evaluated in terms of time, with their respective durations. This article starts from the epidemiological method, which applies the experimental scientific method to the study of health-related problems, on the other hand it aims to describe a guide on how to measure the risk and the origin of the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders in the workers associated with forced postures in relation to a specific task. As a main conclusion it was found that skeletal muscle disorders have a high prevalence worldwide, this provides a detailed analysis of major risk factors such as individual, working, environmental and organizational conditions in the upper extremities.
