| dc.description | El trastorno neurológico funcional (TNF) es una condición neuropsiquiatría frecuente caracterizada por síntomas neurológicos que generan discapacidad significativa y una elevada utilización de los servicios de salud, cuyo diagnóstico suele representar un reto ya que tradicionalmente se ha basado en la exclusión de otras enfermedades orgánicas. Con el objetivo de mapear la evidencia científica sobre el diagnóstico clínico del TNF, se realizó una revisión de alcance mediante una búsqueda en las bases de datos PubMed, Springer, ScienceDirect, Clarivate y Scopus, donde de un total inicial de 27.096 registros identificados, finalmente 8 estudios cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y relevancia para el tema. Los hallazgos de esta búsqueda resaltan la importancia de los signos clínicos positivos, así como la innovación en signos evaluables, herramientas, patrones y otras manifestaciones evidentes en la evaluación de estos pacientes, concluyendo que la evidencia respalda este enfoque diagnóstico, lo cual puede favorecer el reconocimiento temprano del trastorno, contribuyendo así a mejorar la práctica clínica. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Functional neurological disorder (FND) is a frequent neuropsychiatric condition characterized by neurological symptoms that generate significant disability and a high utilization of health services, whose diagnosis usually represents a challenge since it has traditionally been based on the exclusion of other organic diseases. With the objective of mapping the scientific evidence on the clinical diagnosis of FND, a scoping review was conducted through a search in the PubMed, Springer, ScienceDirect, Clarivate, and Scopus databases, where from an initial total of 27,096 identified records, finally 8 studies met the inclusion and relevance criteria for the topic. The findings of this search highlight the importance of positive clinical signs, as well as innovation in evaluable signs, tools, patterns, and other evident manifestations in the evaluation of these patients, concluding that the evidence supports this diagnostic approach, which can favor the early recognition of the disorder, thus contributing to improving clinical practice. | |
