Within this document, illustratively begins to develop the topic, making a brief account of the type of behavior considered abusive with respect to our children, as well as the time when children are more likely to be abused , to then go deeper into the issue extracting the regulations that are part of our Colombian legislation in order to identify precisely which rules are related to the protection of child abuse, and then, in this way, evaluate whether the same rules of right offer the necessary and integral protection to the children of our society. In the same sense, the development of the subject in question will continue, observing the effectiveness of the application of those norms, through the figures thrown by the state organisms in charge of the handling of these statistical data, with this finally concluding to what point our rules of law and the agencies in charge of protection have been diligent enough to adequately provide the protection and care that our children deserve, due to the fact that more and more cases of abuse are heard, which is why it is necessary show if as a society we have been diligent or not in the protection of our children and adolescents.
