Family violence is defined as a multidimensional problem that affects people of all ages, genders and social contexts, manifesting itself through physical, psychological, economic and sexual aggressions. Through a model that explains the phases of abuse: accumulation of tension, violent explosion and reconciliation, describing how these stages promote patterns of continuous abuse in family relationships. The consumption of SPA is presented as a factor that aggravates family violence, since these substances can act as triggers for violent behaviors and destabilize family dynamics. At the same time, victims, especially women and adolescents, resort to the consumption of SPA as a form of escape or to cope with the emotional impact of the violence they suffer. For their part, the aggressors, under the effects of these substances, intensify the frequency and severity of their violent behavior. Concluding that the family plays an important role in the development of adolescents, growing up in a healthy and violence-free family environment positively influences various areas both at the individual, family and social level, this environment provides the necessary foundations for the growth of the individual helping to build a sense of belonging that is essential for conscious and responsible decision-making.
