Item Identidad, género y encierro en adolescentes en conflictos con la ley(2025) Pantoja Pay, Greys; Cárdenas Jiménez, Alejandra; Villa Molina, Yorlady; Alzate Velásquez, Natalia (Asesora)This article aims to analyze adolescent incarceration and symbolic exclusion, the formation of identity in adolescents under the custody of the (SRPA) Special Program for Adolescent Responsibility, and the construction of gender stereotypes in contexts of confinement. It highlights that these young individuals face significant disruptions that affect their development, due to the lack of positive relationships and the reproduction of violent male role models. The study is based on a documentary review of research published between 2018 and 2024, using a qualitative hermeneutic approach. An analytical review matrix was used to organize the information according to criteria such as language, year, and keywords. The results indicate that many of these adolescents have experienced social exclusion, lack of institutional support, and family problems, which directly impact their identity. In detention centers, rigid gender stereotypes are observed, where sensitivity is punished and masculinity is associated with control and violence. Based on these observations, it is concluded that the identity of young people is formed in connection with their environment, including institutions and social messages. The lack of freedom not only limits their physical movement but also affects their ability to understand and experience life independently.
