Item Factores de riesgo para caries dental en niños de la clínica de odontopediatria determinados en el cariograma de brathall(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Cortes Cáceres, Angie Carolina; Mosquera Mena, Astrid Carolina; Vergara Zarate, Astrid Carolina; Pardo Herrera, IvanobaTo evaluate the risk factors for dental caries in children treated at the Odontopediatrics Clinic of the Santiago de Cali University in a period of one year; using the Cariogram proposed by Bratthall et al, collaborators. Materials and Methods: 173 clinical records of children treated, randomly selected, the design was non-experimental, the study was descriptive-retrospective, obtaining the variables handled by the Cariogram tool of brathall, assessing the level of risk and the susceptibility to develop cavities. Results: 70% of children are at risk; 10.7% presented a high risk of caries, 19.5% at moderate risk and 39.8 at low risk. Determining that the variables with greater weight were the frequency of diet, the history of the current disease, the high control of biofilm, the level of content of diet, exposure of use of fluorine, salivary flow and clinical opinion. Conclusion. The estimation of the risk from the cariogram allows determining the susceptibility to develop caries, which for the population was high.
