The analyzed articles show that the SPPB in comparison with the Timed Up and Go (TUG), Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment (POMA) and Modified Fall Efficiency scales, provides an indication of global frailty in older adults, being a simple and reliable method. to identify elderly people who fall frequently, being necessary that from the professional perspective a multidisciplinary work is carried out with the fear of falling and physical performance. It was concluded that according to the subcategory of walking speed in the SPPB with a time greater than 6.2 in a distance of 4 meters, it is related to the risk of falling in people over 65 years of age. The early detection of the risk of falls is of clinical importance, since it decreases physical dependence and reduces costs in the health system, the SPPB has psychometric characteristics such as: reliability, reliability, precision
