Item Programa de uso eficiente y ahorro de agua – PUEAA - en concesión de aguas subterráneas para el aprovechamiento en establecimiento comercial(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Urbano Celorio, Claudine; Salazar Calvache, Oscar AndrésWater is one of the vital resources for life on earth, for this reason, human settlement dynamics have been influenced by this resource. However, the distribution of water is uneven on the earth's surface, since most are concentrated in the oceans or in different ways on the continents, for this reason, conservation, including the efficient use of water is outlined as one of the important policies of the different countries. In Colombia, the Efficient Use and Water Saving Programs - PUEAA are used as a strategy to conserve the country's water resource. Groundwater stored in wells is also included in the national regulatory policies. In this regard, the commercial vehicle laundry and residential commercial complex establishment requested the environmental authority of Santiago de Cali (DAGMA) to grant the use of groundwater to carry out the activities in each case. For which the volume of water used in both, the car wash and the average consumption of the apartments of commercial residential complex was estimated, finding that in both cases, an efficient use of the water resource is made, which conforms to the proposed norm for the altitudinal characteristics of the city. It is recommended to monitor and control the measurements of this resource for both establishments, adjusting to the goals and indicators proposed in the PUEAA scheduled for the next five years.
