Item Análisis de viabilidad para la instalación de una planta de incineración de residuos sólidos urbanos, para la generación de energía con bajo impacto ambiental en la ciudad de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Torres Cortes, Pablo Steven; Zambrano, Yesid Fabian (Director)The thesis was carried out on the feasibility analysis for the installation of an urban solid waste incineration plant, for the generation of energy with low environmental impact in the city of Cali in order to know the technical, economic and environmental feasibility for the installation of a RSU incineration plant in the city of Cali. The document analyzes the generation of MSW in Cali through the years through the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan - PGIRS 2015 - 2027 updated to 2020. It contains what is related to the population increase in the city in addition to the quantity and characterization of the MSW generated in Cali over time. Taking into account the above, the optimal types of MSW for incineration are chosen given their calorific power. In another way, the composition of the incineration plant with the main processes towards the generation of electrical energy is disclosed. Next, the investment costs related to the installation of the incineration plant are analyzed, among the main costs are: Machinery and equipment, civil works and construction, administrative and productive labor, and some variable costs. Considering the previous results, the total investment cost is calculated to later know the income from the sale of electricity and know the economic viability of the project through the return on investment (Payback). At the end, a sketch and distribution in an adequate plan is proposed, considering 2 sources: The plan of the MSW incineration plant located in San Andrés and a feasibility analysis for the implementation of an urban solid waste incinerator in the state of Tlaxcala. Finally, the Colombian regulations applicable to the MSW incineration process in the city of Cali are analyzed, with this, the environmental viability is evaluated according to the pollutants (Gases) generated in the plant after the process.
