    Efectos del consumo conspicuo sobre la salud mental de individuos de bajos ingresos económicos

    Conspicuous consumption can be understood as the acquisition and display of expensive goods and services that, beyond their intrinsic utility, act as visible signs of status and distinction in the social hierarchy. This Scoping Review focused on describing the effects of conspicuous consumption on the mental health of low-income individuals. Articles were taken from academic databases (Wos and Scopus), where those articles between the years 2019-2023 were included. The results highlight the importance of considering the possible positive and negative effects of conspicuous consumption on low-income individuals.
