This research consisted of a sample of 5 postpartum women to whom the Coping strategy scale was applied in addition to a semi-structured interview that had among its categories (Perception, self-concept, self-image, SDG 3 health and well-being and SDG 5 gender equality). The results of the interview showed that the psychological aspects identified have positive contributions in the mental health of the mother to the extent that she has previous experiences around motherhood, knowledge about postpartum care and self-care, among others. However, it was also identified that those factors in which a negative perception is evidenced may represent a risk factor due to the high incidence on the well-being of the woman who suffers from it. The coping strategies with the highest mean scores were: problem solving, religion, waiting and social support.
