On the other hand, the Six Sigma methodology has been proposed as one of the most efficient tools when planning processes and reducing times and costs, in fact this document has the main objective: to analyze the costs for an implementation Six Sigma methodology based on total quality variables (TQM) in the oil extraction process in Colombia for the year 2019, for which it is required to meet three specific objectives, the first of which involves the specification of the form functional to be applied for the implementation of the Six Sigma methodology in the oil extraction process, then seeks to establish the quality variables for the Six Sigma implementation in the oil extraction process, and finally specifying the costs of implementing the methodology defined in the previous objectives, for the realization of this study it was necessary to take care of the methodology posed by Al Kindi & Al Lawati (2016) and by Bubshait & Al-Dosary (2014), given which achieved results that the main costs adjacent to the Six Sigma methodology implementation process are labor-related. Concluding the research process, it is necessary that the formation of an appropriate methodology depends to a large extent on the training that the workforce in charge of this process must possess
