Item El estrés académico como factor de riesgo en la urgencia del intento suicida en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) García Rodríguez, Sofía; Santa Mendoza, Rosana; Lucio Herrera, Sara María (Director)One of the fundamental pillars of prehospital care is to work on prevention rather than on care, a suicidal attempt is a very common act for which very rarely as health personnel we find ourselves in the capacities to manage. Suicide and suicidal behavior in university students in the city of Santiago de Cali is based on self-inflicted acts to take their own lives, this is conditioned by different causes linked to changes in social environments and some of the related risk factors with academic stress. All disciplines in the world are interwoven either directly or indirectly, as in this case the fourth industrial revolution and the high demands of skills and abilities that require to include people in the labor market in such a way that they modify the curricula, excluding some professions and including some new ones that at the same time demanded a greater yield to the university students, giving way to have a population of young people with an excessive exhaustion that can have consequences of metal health disruption and in the more serious case suicide.
