Item Síndrome de burnout en el personal de salud que labora en una unidad renal de la Ciudad de Cali 2016(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2017) Sandoval Saenz, Edith Marleny; Salazar Guerrero, Diana Shirley; Rojas Zuñiga, ClaudiaThe present study describes the prevalence of burnout syndrome in health personnel working in the Renal Unit of a clinic in the city of Santiago de Cali in 2016. As a diagnosis of the problem that represents the syndrome in the sites Of work and risk that it carries for the safety and health of the nurses and doctors. Therefore, the relevance of work for the company, society and academia is justified; Its theoretical, conceptual, labor and legal dimensions are addressed; Without forgetting the methodological design and some ethical considerations. Consequently, the sociodemographic characterization of health professionals is made; Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal fulfillment are described with the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire; And, it analyzes the relation of the three dimensions with the prevalence of Burnout syndrome. It is concluded that there is a low prevalence of the syndrome in the clinic, where some cases present a greater risk of developing the disease in the future; It is also found that work environment conditions have a significant impact on the prevalence of Burnout syndrome.
