The purpose of this research was to determine the factors associated with extreme maternal morbidity reported in SIVIGILA in the City of Palmira 2018. For this, the study population and unit of analysis are constituted by the mandatory notification form of SIVIGILA with event 549 that reports to pregnant women who presented Extreme Maternal Morbidity during the year 2018 in the municipality of Palmira. The data collection process was carried out through the systematic review of the mortality and morbidity log books sent to SIVIGILA by the health institutions of the municipality of Palmira in order to obtain information on all patients who have been typified as MME. Therefore, it was possible to determine the factors associated with extreme maternal morbidity reported in SIVIGILA in the City of Palmira 2018; which correspond to Factors: labor, economic and poor assistance to prenatal controls; As was identified as extreme maternal morbidity, it is observed more frequently in patients under 31 years of age.
