Item Intra-rater and Inter-rater Reliability of the Kidslife Scale for Children and Adolescents with Intellectual and/or Multiple Disabilities in Colombia(Universidad del Rosario, 2025-05-23) Morales Vela, Álvaro José; Rueda Posada, Beatriz Eugenia; Cardona Román, Daissy Katheryne; Castaño Salazar, Gilberto; Salamanca Duque, Luisa MatildeObjective: To determine psychometric properties of reliability Intra-rater and Inter-rater of the KidsLife Scale in Colombia, for the evaluation of quality of life of people between 4 and 21 years of age with intellectual and multiple disabilities. Methodology: An empirical-analytical study was carried out in a sample of 200 people with intellectual and multiple disabilities, the scale was answered by a third party who reported on the quality of life of the person in relation to eight dimensions. To determine intra-rater and inter-rater reliability, levels of agreement were calculated for the items of the 8 dimensions of the scale through the weighted Kappa index, the correlations between dimensions with Pearson's correlation coefficients and intraclass correlation coefficients were also analyzed. Results: Intrarater reliability was moderate in 71.9% of the items, and good in 20.83% (p<0.00). Correlation measures showed a positive and statistically significant correlation for all dimensions (p<0.001). The intraclass correlation coefficients demonstrated adequate intra-rater reliability in each of the dimensions. Interrater reliability was moderate for 52% of the items and low for 44.8%. The correlation analysis between dimensions is positive and highly significant (p<0.001). Concordance analyses yielded levels of agreement between "moderate" and "substantial." The intraclass correlation coefficients were adequate, all between moderate and substantial. Conclusion: The KidsLife scale can be used and applied for the evaluation of quality of life in people with intellectual disabilities in Colombia.
