Item Responsabilidad médica legal competencia importante para médicos en formación: Estudio en una universidad de Colombia.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Robledo Zapata, Carolina; Gil Forero, Janeth CeciliaMedical training, apart from the scientific-technological domain, considers clinical and ethical skills, but importantly, it must also consider the teaching of legal issues, since the doctor assumes not only a high ethical and social responsibility, but also an inevitable legal responsibility in all its branches, both civil, administrative, criminal and disciplinary. It is important to develop competences in legal knowledge from the beginning of your learning, in order to prevent legal actions that result in your future professional actions. The objective of this article is to identify the degree of competence on legal responsibility that fifth-year students of the medicine program have in a private university in the south-west of Colombia in 2019. The methodology was mixed. A qualitative, exploratory, descriptive investigation was carried out with a non-probability sample, intended for convenience, with an interview with two doctors from the training area, after signing informed consent, and in quantitative terms, a questionnaire validated by another study carried out at the University was applied. Nacional Nacional de San Marcos- Lima Faculty of Medicine - Peru. The target population was 73 students enrolled in a medical degree at a Colombian university institution. In conclusion, there are few generic and disciplinary competences in the field of legal medicine for the care work of a doctor who is expected to enter the Colombian health system where demands for clinical practice, malpractice and ethical-social responsibility.
