“oportunidades de exportación para la agricultura de cacao con el acuerdo de paz.”
(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) García Zuluaga, Daniella; Riascos Mina, Angie Viviana; Gómez Racines, Ligia
The objective of this work is to study the export opportunities for cocoa producers with respect to the Peace Agreement. A methodological level is repeated in a descriptive study with a mixed approach, applying the deductive method. It was found that the peace agreement signed between the national government of Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - Ejercito del Pueblo (FARC-EP), generated a possibility of improving social and economic conditions for the population of rural Colombia , an aspect that would improve agricultural activity by focusing on access to land, improvements in infrastructure, as well as access to sources of capital or financing. Along with the international community, such as the European Community, it opened possibilities for agricultural producers who have facilities in European markets, which will become an economic opportunity for the country's cocoa sector. The country has areas suitable for cultivation, while the agro-industry chain has been strengthened, allowing it to have products with international limitations on competition in international markets. It is concluded that the peace agreement generated opportunities for the cocoa sector, however, there are challenges due to compliance with the agreement and since 2016 it has been implementing programs and projects regarding access to land, an aspect that deserves to be strengthened. Likewise, greater structuring and strengthening of the cocoa agricultural chain is required so that they have innovative products with higher added value, which represent a wider margin of profitability
