Item Relación de la lactancia materna en el desarrollo del lenguaje y el habla: una revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Benavides Cardona, Angie Mishel; Revelo Viveros, Liceth Vanessa; López García, Gabriela; Guzmán Sánchez, Pilar Andrea (Directora)Breastfeeding is one of the most important indicators of child development and growth since it allows to optimize the nutritional status of the baby, strengthen the immune system, increase the production of immunoglobulins and increase the development and functionality of the orofacial and oromotor structures of the neonate. It also promotes social and emotional development between mother and child. (1)(2)(3). The present study is proposed with the objective of determining the relationship of breastfeeding in the development of language and speech from scientific evidence, through a scope review based on the query of 6 databases available in the bibliographic resources of the Santiago de Cali University, from a search formula built taking into account the terms Mesh and Boolean AND operators, OR, in order to answer the research question, a descriptive, quantitative and retrospective study is considered. Obtaining as a result of research that, at the cognitive level, bioactive components and concentrations of oligosaccharides in breast milk favor brain development and cognitive functions; At the level of speech, neonatal reflexes and the albas triad are triggered, as well as the maturation of oromotor structures and functions; at the language level, it allows the development of receptive and comprehensive linguistic ability, through the communicative binomial.
