Item Longevidad en restauraciones de recubrimiento total en oxido de zirconio, revisión sistemática(2021) Medina Bulla, María José; Moreno González, Diego Fernando; Restrepo Montoya, Juan Fernando; Calero, Isabel CristinaObjective: To determine the longevity of zirconium oxide in full veneer restorations through a literature review, according to the identified article reports. Materials and methods: An observational, descriptive, qualitative, qualitative systematic review study was carried out, where a focused question was developed using the PICO format, asking if "What is the survival rate (O) of full veneer restorations in zirconium oxide (I), cemented on enamel or dentin substrate (C), in patients requiring rehabilitative treatment in the anterior and posterior sector? (P) where results were obtained from articles, which were already established, without intervening in the natural course of events, in order to answer research questions and / or test hypotheses, with a literary design where a search was performed in the following databases: Science Direct, Dialnet, Medigraphic, Pubmed, Research Gate and Hindawi. Results: We selected (n=38) studies that met the inclusion criteria, distributed as follows: Pubmed with (n=23), Dialnet (n=2), Science Direct with (n=9), Research Gate with (n=1), Medigraphic with (n=1) and Hindawi (n=2) for a total of 38 articles retrieved since 2010; the most reported failure was ceramic chips and crown fractures, the most reported survival years were 2, 3 and 5 years, with rates ranging from 90 to 95%, demonstrating that zirconium oxide is one of the most preferred ceramic materials for prosthetic treatments. Conclusions: Zirconium oxide proved to be an optimal material for carrying out full veneer rehabilitative treatments, providing an acceptable level of success according to the results of the studies, the survival rates had a good result against different years and with different types of cement and/or treatment regions in the oral cavity, which means that zirconium oxide is a material that provides very good characteristics for rehabilitative procedures in dentistry.
