Item Estado del desarrollo de servicios de IPTV sobre DVB-T2 aplicados a entornos ciudadanos en Colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Fong Mosquera, Diego Fernando; Restrepo Castillo, Edgar Alirio (Director)Introduction: IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is a complement to the technological progress that is present in the Internet market: fiber optic connections, high-speed data transmission, and quality bandwidth. DVB-T2 is a standard (Digital Video Terrestrial Broadcasting) offered by digital and mobile television, it allows buying the signal which uses the radio spectrum more efficiently, being able to broadcast several channels in the same space currently occupied by a analog channel only. Objective: To carry out a study on the different services that can be offered on IPTV technology with the DVB-T2 standard in Colombia. Method: Qualitative - descriptive study that consisted of a documentary review in a period of five years where the literature was analyzed through search engines such as: Digital Library, Scielo, Repository, Redalic, among others, regarding the development of Information Services. IPTV over DVB-T2. Results: Four major topics were identified in which the trends of IPTV Services over DVB-T2 were explained; Cluster 1. Definition of IPTV. Cluster 2. General architecture of a DVB-T2 system; Cluster 3. Transmission of fixed and mobile TDT - DVB-T2 services in the same multiplex; and Cluster 4. Policies and regulation of telecommunications in Colombia. Conclusions: IPTV is a television signal transmission system through networks that use the internet protocol, which is configured as a new means of multimedia entertainment (television, video, audio, text, graphics, among others), allowing the client is in control of what they want to see, although despite the existing regulations through Law 1341 of 2009, this system has some drawbacks of quality, speed and accessibility. This article is justified because it allows to have a reference of how to approach a study on this type of services. The analysis tools are being used by telecommunications companies such as the municipal companies of Cali ( EMCALI ).Item La gestión del riesgo en proyectos de TI(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Aguiño Cárdenas, Harry; Mejía Hernández, Douglass Noé; Restrepo Castillo, Edgar Alirio (Director)The objective of this article is to carry out a bibliographic review of risk management oriented to information technology (or IT) projects. Companies today are more and more frequent of the great impact that IT-related risks can cause, identifying that different sectors of the economy are frequent victims of failures and attacks on their internal services, significantly affecting their reputation and financial area. Through the management and the exhaustive analysis of the risks, the corporate community is encouraged to implement, in all its projects and ventures, methodologies and good practices related to risk management as a vital process for all their development, and not only as a forgotten stage in the project phases, thus significantly guaranteeing the success rate in all its executions.
