Therefore, the objective of this paper is to analyze play as a pedagogical strategy to improve the teaching of addition and subtraction in primary education. Research supports the idea that children can progress in their mathematics learning through playful activities and educational games. These teaching strategies are based on the idea that learning through play can be more effective and engaging for children, thus improving their understanding and retention of mathematical concepts. Some studies have shown that math games can help children develop skills such as problem-solving, logic, and basic mathematical operations.
