Item Comparativo Estándar OSHAS 18001:2007 e ISO 45001:2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Montaño Hurtado, Riquermen; Ramos Hurtado, Neider Javier; García Jiménez, Juan CamiloIn the close relationship between health and work risks and occupational diseases are born, due to the exposure of employees to inadequate working conditions, which cause serious injuries and in the worst case death. For the treatment of this problem, several approaches have been developed throughout history, including Health and Safety at Work, a multidisciplinary approach from which the Occupational Health and Safety Management System emerges. Starting from a bibliographic review, this article shows the differences between the most important regulations of health and safety management at work; the OHSAS 18001: 2007 and ISO 45001: 2018 standard; The objective of both is to reduce risks, eliminate hazards and improve health and safety conditions in organizations, through safe and healthy workplaces. Once the information has been analyzed, it is evident that even when the regulations present notable differences (clauses, risk management, interested parties, among others), organizations certified under OHSAS 18001: 2007 have a “solid platform” to migrate to ISO 45001: 2018. The great challenge of migration is to achieve over the next 3 years a change in employee safety culture, structural change of the organization (active and committed participation of all interested parties) and the usefulness and implementation of the standard for any organization that requires it..
