La fotografía, herramienta mediadora artística en la salud mental del pueblo negro del norte del Cauca
(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Ramos Angola, Leidy Tatiana; Tamayo, Paula Andrea (Directora)
This document systematizes the intervention that, from the practice of Community Psychology, from the diploma in Art Mediation for the promotion of community mental health, and the exercise called "Fotovoz," which was developed extracurricularly by the student LEIDY TATIANA RAMOS ANGOLA, through which processes of managing emotions, thoughts, and feelings of individuals and the community in the northern region of the Cauca department, specifically in “La Dominga” and “San Miguel”villages in the municipalities of Suarez and Guachené respectively. This exercise was carried out through photography as a methodological tool through which individuals and the participating community in the project in these communities could express themselves without the need for explicit verbal communication to expose and denounce the violations of their human rights and integrity to which they have been exposed over the years by illegal armed groups (dissidents of the FARC-EP) and common delinquency both inside and outside their own communities. The recording of the valuable catharsis exercise that was carried out allowed these individuals and communities to use Fotovoz, through the so-called indicators, to identify and represent those situations, emotions, and thoughts that, as a result of the war, have been brewing in these people and communities over the years, causing a multitude of discomforts that could undoubtedly affect not only individual mental health in each subject differentially but also a decline in mental health on a large scale, at the community level.
