Despite its high prevalence, various studies show that it does not always receive adequate care. Factors such as the subjective perception of prehospital staff, limitations in decision-making regarding treatment, lack of standardized treatment, and barriers can negatively affect the patient experience and clinical outcomes. Adequate pain control in these settings not only improves patient comfort but also their physiological stability and subsequent outcomes. Objective: To understand the various difficulties and barriers encountered in the pharmacological management of trauma patients by prehospital care technologists and which are the most appropriate treatments for these cases. Methodology: A scoping review was conducted using 29 scientific articles addressing prehospital pain management in trauma patients. Qualitative and quantitative studies, as well as systematic reviews, were included. Articles in Spanish and English published between 2020 and 2025 will be considered
