(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Quetama Polania, Brand Jeebson; Tamayo Montoya, Paula Andrea (Directora)
Sexual violence in children and adolescents (NNA) is a global public health problem. When talking about aggressors it is very common to hear concepts such as "pedophiles" or "pedophiles". However, the latter deals with a paraphilic disorder that does not necessarily determine that the person carries out the criminal act. Thus, the main objective of the article is to identify through the scientific literature the characteristics that define the difference between the profiles of pedophiles and sexual abusers (pedophiles). This article carried out a reviewtype methodology following the parameters of the PRIMAS SCR Scoping Review methodology, through databases such as ScienceDirect using the following keywords, (pedophilia) AND (child sex offender) AND (sex offender) AND ( characteristics OR profile), after this the search for documents was delimited specifically research articles taking into account the time frame of a decade. A total of 14 articles were reviewed, of which the results found are that pedophiles present anxiety in adult social relationships, defect and subjugation schemes, in addition they tend to justify their behavior because they have not used coercion, manipulation, bullying, drugs and consent acts. While pedophiles do not present anxiety when establishing adult relationships, they are more likely to maintain social isolation schemes, tend 2 to develop a sense of risk or levels of exposure to harm, constant approval approval due to parenting problems, and fear of the system. of punishment and punishment, they are also less likely to remember their parents as emotionally warm and suicidal ideas are reluctant to have this type of inclination.
