In this sense, it should be the main facilitator strategy to unlearn to learn new habits in response to the serious environmental problems that has been facing all forms of life on the planet. Among the wide range of environmental problems, this research addresses what concerning the solid waste which is generated mostly in the urban and rural part of the District of Buenaventura, which are transported from the settlements in nearby to the different bodies of water (river banks, marshes and shallow sea areas), by action of the tidal dynamics, being dragged and desembocados directly to the beach Bazan-Bocana areas. For this reason, the purposes of this research are described as environmental education becomes strategy to reduce the environmental problems of solid waste in the inner bay and beach Bazan-Bocana District of Buenaventura, determine the level of knowledge of environmental education is the beach community Bazán Bocana, check if the community has knowledge about the management of solid waste, identify the impact that the community perception of municipal solid waste on the beach Bazán-Bocana and develop an environmental education proposal for the beach community Bazán Bocana, focused on the qualitative method. Inductive recurrent process. To collect the data observation and inductive strategy is used, and then a survey is applied in some sectors of the town and beach dwellers Bazán-Bocana District of Buenaventura. With the application of the instrument to the selected sample, it was shown that according to the degree of education of the population, the level of knowledge in environmental education is relatively low because only 7% of respondents are professionals. In addition it was determined that the attitude of the community towards environmental education as a strategy to reduce environmental problems caused by solid waste in the inner bay and beach Bazán-Bocana District of Buenaventura is 22% describing it as very favorable and 78% as positive, which confirms the importance of environmental education as a major step to promote environmental awareness against degradation of the ecosystems in the area where the research is located
