It is possible to conclude that physiotherapy is a discipline that is recognized as an essential part of the interdisciplinary team, which intervenes in the critically ill patient who remains in the ICU, actively participating in the processes of diagnosis of deficiencies that potentially compromise motor functions, Likewise, he participates in various procedures and in clinical decisionmaking that contribute to maintaining the balance of body systems and integral rehabilitation processes. Safe physiotherapy practices in the intensive care unit are of vital importance to avoid adverse events related to the inappropriate use of protection and prevention instruments due to the absence of a correct management of the Guidelines and/or protocols for a safe approach to the patient.
