Candida parapsilosis is an opportunistic yeast, associated with immunosuppressed or intensive care unit (ICU) patients, low birth weight neonates or people receiving intravenous feeding. It has been found contaminating aquatic systems, surfaces, on the hands of healthcare workers and on different medical devices. The aim of this research was to evaluate different advanced oxidation processes based on UVC light with different oxidants. Inactivation and reactivation assays were performed in the dark with a Candida parapsilosis strain against UVC light, PMS, PS and H2O2 and combinations of UVC/PMS, UVC/PS and UVC/H2O2. The inactivation test that showed the best results was UVC/PMS 500 µM with an inactivation percentage of 100% followed by UVC/H2O2 500 µM with the same percentage, both tests after 30 seconds. The order of inactivation was as follows UVC/PMS 500 µM > UVC/H2O2 > UVC/PS > UVC, the last two being the least efficient. When comparing the UVC light against the combination tests with the three oxidants, it was found that there were significant statistical differences with a p=
