Item Desarrollo de un plan para la Implementación de Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura en una empresa productora de cosméticos(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025-12-10) Pineda Arango, Juliana; Losada Narvaez, Maria PaulaThe cosmetics sector in Colombia has shown sustained growth in recent years, with an estimated market value of US$2.884 billion at the close of 2024, according to data from ANDI (National Association of Industrialists). This growth has driven companies to strengthen their quality systems through the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to guarantee the safety, efficacy, and competitiveness of their products both nationally and internationally. This study aimed to evaluate the GMP compliance status of a cosmetics manufacturing company in Colombia and propose improvement plans aligned with the guidelines of Resolution 3774 of 2004 and Decision 833 of the Andean Community. To this end, a diagnostic verification guide was applied, consisting of 122 items distributed across 13 sections, covering the main components of the quality system: establishment classification, qualifications, personnel, organization, sanitation, equipment, maintenance, storage, raw material handling, production, quality assurance, documentation, and facilities. The methodology employed consisted of a systematic evaluation through direct inspection, document review, and interviews with the personnel responsible for each process. Each item was classified according to its level of compliance into three categories: Compliant (C), Partially Compliant (B), and Non-Compliant (A). Based on the findings, a root cause analysis was conducted to identify the factors that originate the nonconformities and define sustainable improvement strategies.
