    Condiciones de medio ambiente de trabajo y de salud de trabajadores informales de las fincas ganaderas en el corregimiento de municipio de Patia-Cauca

    An applied work was developed to know the working and health conditions and environment of the informal workers of the cattle farms of the corregimiento el puro, municipality of Patía, department of Cauca during 2016. Among its results it was determined that socioeconomically the population has a high labor informality due to the fact that social security coverage is 94%, while the pension issue is only 9.3 and the coverage in professional risks corresponds to 5.3%, which does not It allows to assume the operating costs generated by the occupational and health risks of these workers. Similarly, in the analysis of health conditions, it was established that although they consider their health to be relatively good at 88.9%, they are exposed to a variety of risks in posture, where 50% of workers work standing, in addition 94% of workers are exposed to the use of pesticides, tools and environments that increase their risks in this activity, where even some of them have already suffered serious accidents between 1 and 3 events in the last year and 41.2% have or have been diagnosed by occupational diseases. Finally, in the working conditions, a high chemical risk could be appreciated because 81.3% of the workers carry out fumigation work, generating that 52.9% of the respondents have been subject to chemical poisoning; compared to the physical load, 37.9% execute repeated movements of hands and arms, 27.6% perform forced movements, 24.1% lift or move heavy loads and 10.3% perform rotary trunk movements; to public order according to the presence of groups Subversives in the municipality of Patia 84.2% of these workers have been exposed to acts of terrorism. There is a high health risk where we found that 94% of the respondents state that they do not have sanitary facilities (sinks and latrines), which makes this livestock activity a risky place for those workers who develop these livestock activities of the Puro district .
