Additionally, the causative factors of this disease and how they have a direct or indirect impact on the health of employees were identified. This document also intends to express how work stress can influence the quality of life of workers. The bibliographic review method was used to collect secondary information sources, which were highly relevant to build the discussion of the article. This information was obtained from: Scielo, Scopus and ScienceDirect. The descriptive study was used, since it includes a lot of information about the subject. It was found that work stress has a negative influence, directly affecting the performance of employees within the organization, and in turn giving rise to many other diseases.
