This research, in this regard, was able to identify this problem in a more specific context such as the Valle del Cauca region, especially Palmira Valle, where youth unemployment is representing a challenge for the various governmental organizations, from this context reading, a couple of questions were established, thinking about possible alternatives to address unemployment and the relationship with the various public policies that have been generated in this regard, How to address unemployment in young university graduates of the business administration program in the city of Palmira, Valle del Cauca, was the main question, to address unemployment in young university graduates of the business administration program in the city of Palmira, Valle del Cauca, was the main question. In order to answer this question, the main objective of the study was to provide an account of the alternatives available to young people to face unemployment, in addition to other objectives such as the review and evaluation of public policies on employment in Colombia in the last five years, through a qualitative methodology, making use of techniques such as documentary review, systematization and descriptive analysis of the results of the study, systematization and descriptive content analysis, it was found that government entities have created various programs, projects and regulations to promote and guarantee youth labor insertion, but these have not been sufficient, since unemployment figures are growing, i.e., young people are not being inserted into the labor market. Regarding strategies to address this situation, it is proposed that there be more communication channels to socialize the various employment promotion programs such as employability workshops, employment exchanges, and financing for entrepreneurship. This document describes these programs, their objectives, benefits, among others.
